Special Ferry for Bellingham Scottish Gathering Attendees
The Bellingham Scottish Gathering announces ferry service from Blaine Harbor to Semiahmoo Spit on June 1st. Many of us will be reminded of ferry rides to events in Scotland; specifically the World Highland Dance Championships at Dunoon. Koinonia will cross Drayton Harbor on a regular schedule throughout the day. The short boat rides are provided free of charge to attendees at the Scottish Gathering. The first scheduled sailing leaves Semiahmoo Spit (Plover dock) at 8:15 AM. Scottish Gathering officials have reserved spots but all other seating on the 8:15 crossing is first-come-first serve. The boat has 48-passenger capacity and offers outside space and inside seating. What fun for
kids, adults, families, competitors and tourists!
Take a ride to see beautiful Semiahmoo Spit and watch the Scottish athletic events happening on the field across from Semiahmoo Resort. Take a stroll along the paved trails and see bald eagles on their regular perches overlooking the Salish Sea. You might see seals and other sea life along the way.
We hope the special journey reminds you of Scotland and gives you a chance to view some of the most spectacular scenery in the Pacific Northwest. It gives us great pleasure to think about the enjoyment you will experience at the Bellingham Scottish Gathering on June 1st.
